My first painting in about 20 years. This was inspired by a photo is saw online years ago. I was intrigued by the last bit of light from the sunset dancing across the cotton rows after a rain.

Inspired by a photo I took in my early teens with a camera I received for my birthday, this was the view from the front window of my grandparents living room in Sharkey County, MS.

After I had completed my first two paintings, my family and friends began sending me photos to inspire more paintings. I created this piece from a photo my uncle took one morning as he started his day in Yazoo County, MS. The original quickly sold, but giclee prints available.

I was inspired by a series of engagement photos I took of my brother and sister-in-law. We had taken a day-trip to the delta in the summer of 2013 and I referred to those photos as I painted this cotton gin.
